What Are Insider Threats?
An insider threat refers to a security risk that comes from within an organization, such as from employees, contractors, or business partners. These individuals have legitimate access to the organization's resources, but they may misuse that access to steal sensitive information, disrupt operations, or damage the organization's reputation. Insider threats can occur intentionally or unintentionally, and can be difficult to detect and prevent.
